Meridian wasn't built in a boardroom. It was built on the ground — in apartments, vacation homes, student housing complexes, and boutique hotels across two states, starting in San Francisco in 2015 when Airbnb was still becoming what it is today.
Over the next decade, the operation grew city by city: San Diego, Berkeley, Los Angeles, Irvine — where we managed housing for UCI students and vacationers — then into Texas with College Station and Sugar Land. Each market brought a different guest profile, a different regulatory environment, and a different operating challenge. We navigated all of it.
Along the way, every property type taught us something: vacation guests want discovery and comfort. Student housing requires precision and accountability — parents on the other side of the world are trusting you. Boutique hotel operators demand consistency at scale. Multifamily investors need both occupancy and asset protection. Each shaped how we think about management.
A stint as Head of Marketing at a multi-brand ecommerce company sharpened a different skill set — systems thinking, data-driven decisions, and how to build something that scales without losing quality. When the pull of hospitality brought us back, Houston was the destination.
As a globe trotter who has checked into hundreds of properties as a guest, we know exactly what makes a stay feel like home — and what makes it forgettable. That perspective is baked into every listing we manage.
